Certificates, IRAs and, Money Market Accounts
Casco Federal Credit Union offers a range of short and long-term certificates of deposit, individual retirement account (IRA) and money market accounts at great rates to help you make the most of your money.
Certificates of deposit are an ideal way to save for an education, home improvement or special vacation. Our certificates allow you to earn the best possible rate of return on your money without any risk. We offer flexible terms ranging from six months to five years and only require a minimum balance of $500. Dividends may be reinvested in the certificate or transferred to another Casco FCU account. Dividends are compounded and credited monthly and may be withdrawn at any time penalty free. The principal amount may also be withdrawn, but with a penalty equal to 90 days interest.
Planning for retirement is easier with an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) from Casco FCU. An IRA is a personal savings account that may provide income tax advantages for individuals saving money for retirement. We currently offer 2 different types of IRA’s, Traditional and Roth.
Casco Federal Credit Unions’ Money Market Account is an interest earning checking account designed for members who typically maintain a higher checking or savings balance and would like funds to remain liquid. Our Money Market account has the higher rate of return you want and the flexibility you need. Funds may be withdrawn at any time; however withdrawals must be at least $500 and are limited to 6 per month. The minimum balance required to earn dividends is $2,500. Our Money Market account has tiered interest rates, so the higher your balance - the higher your interest rate! Funds may be accessed using our Online Banking and Teller Phone Systems, by writing a check or in person at one of our branches.
