The Village Square Looking toward the center with School Street to the right. Starting at the right of the picture the first store is Brown's, second is W. T. Libby grocery store, next is the building housing Carswell's Drug Store and Kimball's Meat Market. The building next is the Burnell's Stationery Store. Upstairs in the Burnell building was the movie theater. The Masonic block housed the Post Office and the Gorham Savings Bank on the first floor and C. E. Carll Insurance Agency on the second floor. The horse watering trough was on the left in the picture.
