Red Flags to Watch For
If something feels off, trust your instincts. Be especially cautious if someone:
- Contacts you unexpectedly by phone, email, or text.
- Promises free money or an offer that's "too good to be true."
- Pressures you to act immediately.
- Asks you to keep a transaction secret.
- Requests payment with gift cards, wire transfers, PayPal, or other hard-to-trace methods.

- Online banking username or password
- Security codes
- Social Security number
- Mother's maiden name
- Full account information
If you're unsure whether it's really us, hang up and call us directly.

🎣 Phishing & Smishing
Fake emails and texts designed to steal your personal or banking information.
❤️ Romance Scams
Someone builds trust online before asking for money or access to your accounts.
👵 Grandparent Scams
A caller pretends to be a loved one in trouble and urgently needs money. AI can even clone voices to make these scams more convincing.
🎭 Imposter Scams
Scammers pretend to be your financial institution, law enforcement, the IRS, or another trusted organization.
💸 Money Mule Scams
You're asked to receive and transfer money for someone else—often without realizing you're helping criminals.
Stay Scam Smart
- Never click suspicious links or attachments.
- Use strong, unique passwords.
- Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA).
- Keep your devices and software updated.
- If you receive a suspicious call, hang up and call the organization using a phone number you know is legitimate—don't hit redial.
